Small & Simple: 3 Tips for Big Change

Over the past three weeks I’ve been participating in the Coaching Summit as part of my professional Coach development.  James Garrett (www.brainbydesign.com) provided an engaging session on Mini Habits.  Now, we’re all familiar with starting a new habit (think New Year resolution or the beginning of an academic year) and we usually come at it with the best intentions.  But, a few days or weeks in, you kinda forget about it, or it was just more difficult than anticipated. It’s Your Move – 10 Questions to Get You on Your Way

Last fall, the exterior of our house underwent a major renovation, which also included landscaping.  This meant most of the existing plants had to be moved to a ‘holding garden’ at the side of the house until the work was complete. Emotions: Learning Opportunities

Just like waves, with its crests and troughs, life has its high and low points.  When we’re in the lower points, we’re likely finding life harder and experiencing some unpleasant emotions.  Understanding the emotions in the context we’re experiencing them can signal for us a value being challenged or a need that requires attending.  Having this new knowledge can help support us getting back to the crest because we’re learning something important for ourselves.
