Alberta Pound and Rescue Center has been providing pound services for Medicine Hat for just over a year now and we have noticed trends that is common in much of the world. In Alberta, including Medicine Hat, cats have a much larger population than dogs. In 2016 we had 719 cats brought into our care, and 476 dogs. These animals are brought to us by members of the public or bylaw services.
